Golfclub Rheinblick

Built in 1993 in the traditional style of a German country house, the clubhouse boasts remarkable architectural qualities. Despite its considerable size, the facade appears harmonious thanks to its balanced proportions. The interplay of wood and glass elements, combined with recessed and projecting structures – particularly in the parking area and terrace – gives the building a small-scale, inviting, and accessible feel.
With targeted interventions in the architecture and interior design – from the entrance and the restaurant to a reimagined shop concept and redesigned office spaces – a design approach was developed that balances the functional requirements of a golf operation with a distinctive, contemporary, and appealing aesthetic.
I was privileged to help shape this project as part of the interior design team at the Zurich-based architecture and design studio IDA14. I had the opportunity to actively support the overall concept, as well as the material and color scheme, furniture, and lighting design.
