Sunstar Hotel Lenzerheide

The redesign of the hotel rooms at the Sunstar Hotel Lenzerheide incorporates both the surrounding mountain landscape and the character of the existing building. The goal was to create contemporary retreats that convey warmth, tranquility, and a sense of familiarity.

Natural materials and a harmoniously coordinated lighting concept define the inviting atmosphere of the rooms. The color and material scheme is inspired by the themes of mountains, forest, and warmth. These motifs lend each of the different room types its own distinct identity while simultaneously uniting them into a cohesive whole.

The renovation not only improves the functionality of the rooms but also enhances the overall experience. The well-being and needs of the guests are paramount.

This project was developed during my time at the Zurich-based architecture and design studio IDA14, under the creative direction of Karsten Schmidt. My responsibilities included contributing to the design and development of functional wall elements for the hotel rooms.
